Temple Filler
What is Temple Filler?

A non-surgical way to restore volume to hollow temples.

Temple filler replaces the volume lost with age in the hollow at the side of the upper face. Soft, cross-linked hyaluronic acid is placed deep to smooth the temple contour, soften shadows and restore a fuller, more youthful frame to the eyes and brow, with no surgery and usually little downtime.

At DROM, every temple is assessed in the context of the whole face. We map the degree of hollowing, the brow position and the facial proportions before placing any filler, most often through a fine cannula for a softer, safer result.

What We Use

Cross-linked hyaluronic acid.

Temple filler uses a CE-marked, cross-linked hyaluronic acid. The brand and consistency, such as Juvéderm Voluma or Restylane Lyft, are chosen in your consultation, based on the depth of volume loss and your goals. Where deeper structural correction is needed, a collagen-stimulating option may be discussed.

Benefits

Why patients choose this

A small, precise correction with a measurable effect on how the upper face reads.

Restores lost volume

Refills the hollow temple to smooth the contour between brow and hairline.

Softens facial shadows

Eases the sunken, tired look that hollow temples cast across the upper face.

Frames the eyes

A fuller temple supports the brow and opens up the appearance of the eye area.

Immediate result

Volume is visible straight away, then settles and softens over two weeks.

Minimal downtime

You can return to your day at once. Any minor swelling is usually brief.

Long-lasting result

Results last 12 to 18 months on average, depending on individual metabolism.

Cannula-led technique

A blunt cannula is often used to reduce bruising and refine placement.

Anatomy-led placement

Mapped to your individual facial structure, never a one-size-fits-all protocol.

Process

How the treatment works

Six steps from consultation to settled result.

Consultation

The degree of hollowing, your brow position and your goals are assessed in person.

Mapping

Entry points and depth are marked to your individual anatomy.

Cleansing

The treatment area is cleansed with an antiseptic solution.

Placement

Filler is delivered deep, often through a fine cannula, with only brief pressure felt.

Moulding

The area is gently moulded to a smooth, even contour.

Settling

Results are visible immediately and settle fully over about 14 days.

Expected Results

What the result looks like.

  • Smoother, fuller temples, visible immediately after treatment.
  • Softer shadows across the upper face and outer eye.
  • A more rested, balanced facial frame.
  • A natural contour that settles fully within two weeks.
  • Results that last 12 to 18 months on average.
Aftercare & Recovery

The first 48 hours.

  • Avoid pressure on the temples, including tight glasses or headwear, for 48 hours.
  • Avoid strenuous exercise, the sauna or hot yoga for 24 to 48 hours.
  • Avoid alcohol for 24 hours to reduce the risk of bruising.
  • Sleep on your back where possible to keep pressure off the area.
  • Mild swelling or bruising may appear briefly. It usually settles within a few days.
