Calcium hydroxylapatite.

Radiesse

Radiesse
What is Radiesse?

A biostimulator that restores volume and rebuilds collagen.

Radiesse is a calcium hydroxylapatite biostimulator that works in two ways. It restores volume on the day of treatment, then continues quietly over the following months to stimulate your own collagen and elastin. The result is firmer, better-supported skin that improves with time.

At DROM, every Radiesse treatment is planned around your individual anatomy. We assess volume loss, skin quality and facial proportion, then choose the placement and dilution that suit your goals before a single injection is placed.

What We Use

Calcium hydroxylapatite.

Radiesse is made of calcium hydroxylapatite microspheres suspended in a gel carrier, a mineral found naturally in the body. The gel gives immediate lift, while the microspheres act as a scaffold that activates the cells responsible for collagen. Depending on the area treated, we use undiluted, diluted or hyperdilute preparations. The right approach is decided together in your consultation.

Benefits

Why patients choose this

A regenerative result that builds on itself, with structure you can see and feel.

Immediate and progressive

Volume is restored on the day, then collagen continues to build over the following months.

Stimulates your own collagen

The microspheres activate fibroblasts to produce new collagen and elastin.

Firmer skin quality

Skin reads tighter and better supported, not simply filled.

Long-lasting result

Effects typically last 12 to 18 months as the regenerative process continues.

Versatile placement

Well suited to the jawline, cheeks, hands, neck and décolletage.

Minimal downtime

Most people return to their day immediately, and mild swelling settles quickly.

Natural finish

The improvement is gradual and subtle, working with your own tissue.

Anatomy-led planning

Mapped to your individual structure, never a one-size protocol.

Process

How the treatment works

Six steps from consultation to onset of effect.

Consultation

We assess volume loss, skin quality and your goals in person.

Planning

Treatment area, depth and dilution are chosen for your anatomy.

Cleansing

The treatment area is cleansed with antiseptic solution.

Comfort

A topical anaesthetic is applied where appropriate for comfort.

Injection

Calcium hydroxylapatite is placed with a fine needle or cannula.

Onset of effect

Lift is visible on the day, and collagen builds over the following months.

Expected Results

What the result looks like.

  • Immediate restoration of volume on the day of treatment.
  • Progressive firming as new collagen develops from around four weeks.
  • Improved skin quality and contour over two to three months.
  • A natural result that works with your own tissue.
  • Effects typically last 12 to 18 months.
Aftercare & Recovery

The first 48 hours.

  • Avoid strenuous exercise, the sauna and hot yoga for 24 hours.
  • Avoid alcohol for 24 hours to reduce the risk of bruising.
  • Avoid extreme heat, cold and direct sun for 24 hours.
  • Avoid firm massage or pressure on the treated area unless advised otherwise.
  • Mild swelling, redness or bruising may appear briefly, then settles within a few days.
