Chemical Peels

Chemical Peels
What is Chemical Peels?

A controlled resurfacing treatment to brighten, smooth and renew the skin.

A chemical peel applies a precise acid solution to the skin, exfoliating the surface and prompting controlled renewal. As the outer layers shed, fresher skin emerges beneath, leaving brighter tone, smoother texture and a more even, refined complexion.

At DROM, every peel is matched to your skin and your concern. Before selecting the right acid and depth, we assess skin type, sensitivity and goals, from a light surface refresh through to a deeper, more corrective treatment.

What We Use

Alpha and beta hydroxy acids and trichloroacetic acid.

We use medical-grade peels formulated around alpha hydroxy acids such as glycolic and lactic acid, the beta hydroxy acid salicylic acid, and trichloroacetic acid for medium-depth work. The acid, concentration and depth are chosen during consultation, based on your skin type, concern and tolerance.

Benefits

Why patients choose this

A measured approach to resurfacing, tailored to your skin rather than a single fixed formula.

Brighter complexion

Surface exfoliation lifts dullness and restores a healthy, even glow.

Smoother texture

Rough, uneven skin is refined and the appearance of fine lines is softened.

Targets pigmentation

Sun spots, uneven tone and discolouration fade over a course of treatments.

Clearer skin

Salicylic acid reaches oil-prone follicles to ease congestion and breakouts.

Tailored depth

Adjustable from a light surface refresh to a corrective medium-depth peel.

Minimal downtime

Light peels allow a return to routine within a day, with brief flaking.

Gradual renewal

Results build over a planned series of treatments rather than overnight.

Skin-led selection

Acid and strength are matched to your skin, never a one-size protocol.

Process

How the treatment works

Six steps from consultation to renewed skin.

Consultation

Skin type, sensitivity and concerns are assessed in person.

Selection

The right acid, concentration and depth are chosen for your skin.

Cleansing

The skin is thoroughly cleansed and prepared for the peel.

Application

The solution is applied evenly. A warm, tingling sensation is normal.

Neutralising

The peel is timed precisely, then neutralised or removed.

Aftercare

Written guidance, sun protection advice and direct contact are provided.

Expected Results

What the result looks like.

  • A brighter, fresher complexion as the skin renews.
  • Smoother texture and softened fine lines over a series of treatments.
  • More even tone, with pigmentation fading gradually.
  • Light peels show results within days; medium-depth peels over one to two weeks.
  • Best maintained with a planned course and consistent sun protection.
Aftercare & Recovery

The days after your peel.

  • Apply sunscreen daily and avoid direct sun while the skin renews.
  • Let any flaking or peeling shed naturally, and do not pick or scratch.
  • Keep the skin moisturised and use only the products advised.
  • Avoid the sauna, hot yoga and strenuous exercise for 24 to 48 hours.
  • Mild redness, tightness and flaking are normal and settle within a few days.
