Frown lines are vertical creases between the eyebrows, sometimes called '11 lines'. They can create a tense, concerned or tired appearance even when the face is at rest.
What causes frown lines?
They develop through repeated contraction of the muscles used to frown, concentrate or squint. Ageing, sun exposure, skin quality and genetics influence how deeply the lines become etched into the skin.
