Hip dips are natural inward curves between the hip bone and upper thigh. They are a normal feature of body shape and are not a medical problem.
What causes hip dips?
They are mainly determined by the shape and position of the pelvis and thigh bone, together with muscle and fat distribution. Exercise or weight change may alter the surrounding contour but cannot change the underlying bone structure.
