What is Lip Filler?

A subtle enhancement to lip volume, shape and definition.

Lip filler uses cross-linked hyaluronic acid to add volume, refine shape and restore definition to the lips. It can soften fine lines around the mouth, balance asymmetry and create a more defined border. The result is natural and tailored to your face, with no surgery and usually little downtime.

At DROM, every treatment begins with your proportions in mind. We assess lip shape, balance and the relationship between the lips and the surrounding face before placing a single drop of filler.

What We Use

Cross-linked hyaluronic acid.

Lip filler uses a hyaluronic acid dermal filler formulated with lidocaine for comfort. The brand and consistency, such as Juvederm Volbella, Juvederm Ultra or Restylane Kysse, are chosen during your consultation, based on your goals and lip structure.

Benefits

Why patients choose this

A subtle enhancement with a measurable effect on how the lower face reads.

Natural added volume

Soft, balanced fullness placed to suit your individual lip shape.

Defined lip border

A clearer outline and Cupid’s bow, refined without looking overdone.

Softer fine lines

Smooths the vertical lines that form around the lip border over time.

Minimal downtime

Return to your day quickly, as swelling settles within a few days.

Comfortable treatment

Filler with lidocaine and topical numbing keep the procedure comfortable.

Long-lasting result

Effects last six to twelve months on average, depending on your metabolism.

Reversible by design

Hyaluronic acid can be dissolved if an adjustment is ever needed.

Anatomy-led placement

Mapped to your individual lip and facial structure, never a fixed protocol.

Process

How the treatment works

Six steps from consultation to final result.

Consultation

Lip shape, balance and goals assessed in person.

Numbing

Topical anaesthetic applied and left to take effect.

Mapping

Treatment points and border marked to your individual anatomy.

Injection

A fine needle or cannula delivers filler in small, precise amounts.

Sculpting

The lips are gently massaged to distribute the filler evenly.

Final result

Visible immediately, settling fully over about two weeks.

Expected Results

What the result looks like.

  • Visible added volume from the first day.
  • Softer vertical lines around the lip border.
  • A more defined shape and Cupid’s bow.
  • Initial swelling settles over seven to fourteen days to reveal the final result.
  • Results last six to twelve months on average.
Aftercare & Recovery

The first 48 hours.

  • Apply a cool compress to ease swelling, and avoid direct pressure on the lips.
  • Avoid strenuous exercise, the sauna and hot yoga for 24 hours.
  • Avoid alcohol for 24 hours to reduce bruising and swelling.
  • Avoid lipstick and lip make-up for 24 hours, and straws and smoking on the first day.
  • Some swelling and tenderness are normal in the first few days, and settle as the lips heal.
