A cobblestone or dimpled chin has a pebbled, uneven appearance that is often more noticeable when speaking or making facial expressions. It is usually a cosmetic concern rather than a medical problem.
What causes cobblestone chin?
The texture is commonly caused by repeated contraction of the mentalis muscle in the chin. Natural facial anatomy, ageing, volume changes and a small or recessed chin can make the dimpling appear more prominent.
